Biography
Tim VanDyke is the author of Topographies Drawn with a Divine Chain of Birds (Lavender Ink/Dialogos 2011). He has also authored three chapbooks: Fugue Engine (Cannibal Books 2012), Light on the Lion’s Face (Argotist, 2012), and Farallones (Garden Door Press, 2018).
Much of his work grows out of his experiences in Colombia, South America It is informed by North American and Latin American writers, among them Dickinson, Stanford, Vallejo, and Pelaez. He is also interested in writers such as Kim Hyesoon, Aase Berg, and Bruno K. Oijer. His work is often ekphrastic and concerned with a poetics of Place. It has been described as “a cosmic lyric written in blood.”
